ANA ŠĆEKIĆ
Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam
I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Erasmus School of Economics (Erasmus University Rotterdam). I earned my Ph.D. from HEC Paris. Prior to entering the Ph.D. program, I spent two years in industry working as a digital analyst, with a focus on web reputation analysis.
In my research, I study how different elements of platform design, such as review displays and privacy settings, influence consumers' attention, information processing, and decision making. In another stream of research, I focus on the effect of visual crowding on consumers’ product search and choice experiences, in offline and online retail environments. Overall, in my research I combine consumer behavior theories and experimental methods with different process tracing techniques, such as eye tracking. I am excited by research problems that have an interesting information processing story.
At the Erasmus School of Economics, I teach the “Customer Intelligence” core course and the seminar “Leveraging Insights to Create Customer Value” in the master program. I have also taught the bachelor course “New Research Methods in Data Analytics”.
